I am involved in this amazing work with another Disabled community researcher under Macmillan Cancer Support, Bournemouth University PIER, Involving People and Wessex Cancer Alliance.

Improving cancer services for disabled people.
Do you consider yourself disabled? Do you have feedback about cancer services?
Cancer services includes public information about cancer, cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and support.
We are seeking disabled people to join a series of free creative arts workshops – to help capture important insights about cancer services.
When: Fridays (Oct 14th – Dec 2nd)

Workshop agenda – Improving cancer services for disabled people
Week 1: Friday 14th October – Introduction
Get to know each other and think about what you want to get out of the other workshops.
Week 2: Friday 21st October – Comfort
Think about what would bring you comfort if you were to access cancer services.
Week 3: Friday 28th October – What you would like to say. The purpose of this workshop is to hear what you would like to say on cancer awareness and cancer services.
Week 4: Friday 4th November – Your story
Think about what else you would like to say or share that helps to tell your story.
Week 5: Friday 18th November – Family and friends. Bring your friends and family to join in our conversations.
Week 6: Friday 25th November – Exhibition
Share your creations with community members and professionals.
Week 7: Friday 2nd December – Next Steps
Share your feedback of the workshops and discuss next steps.
